If you are reading this, trust me – growing up sucks! But we all have to go through it anyways. Things will go out of your control, you will have people judge you, and you will fall in love with things you can’t have. You would want to turn back time, change it, make it work or simply shut it all out and pray for it to get over. You will want to elope, and that will pass too. I hope it will pass for me too.
No matter what, you are a foreigner; you are a tourist; so embrace it. You’ll feel freer, and less pressure means that you won’t be overwhelmed by all the things you think you’re saying wrong. No matter how you sound, everybody is impressed with the tourist who at least attempts to speak the language. Plus, if people know you’re a tourist, they’ll want to know where you’re from – a great conversation starter.
Its once again time to celebrate the Women’s Day of 2016, and I have been thinking of who should I be wishing today. And what might seem to you as an odd choice – I deeply wanted to wish my father and my husband on this occasion, with a handwritten and heartfelt ‘thank you’ note. I will tell you why.
