Buying the right swimwear for your holidays or travels is important. It is always worth taking the time to find something suitable. A costume that you actually like and is also practical is what you need.
Fortunately, whether you like bikinis, one-pieces, swimming shorts, Speedos or one of the many other styles you can find here, they are available. This year, no one type of swimwear dominates, so you can get your hands on practically whatever you want, especially these three:
One-pieces
For a while, one-pieces went out of fashion a bit. But, they are very much back in vogue right now as contemporary brands have started to innovate this rather classic style. A lot of designers seem to have been inspired by the 80s lately, and as a result, plunging necklines and high cut legs dominate. If you are well-toned, these look fabulous.
But, this cut is not particularly practical, especially if you want to take part in water sports. They just do not stay in one place well enough. So, if you are a sun lounger person, they are a good choice. But, if you are an active, adventure traveler this cut is probably not for you. A far better option would be one of the 1950s inspired belted one-pieces that are widely available, this year. They are very flattering as well as practical.
Bikinis
Bikinis are always nice for a toned body. The fact that you can mix and match the tops and bottoms means that it is relatively easy to get the fit right. This year, you can buy bikinis that have been inspired by the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s – and especially the ones with a crop top or which are high waisted.
When choosing a bikini it is important to think about support. Before you travel, it is wise to take the time to try it on in a wet state. Doing this will enable you to see if the top still offers enough support when soaked. Some fabrics soften and stretch too much when wet – not practical for wearing while taking part in water sports.
Tankinis
Tankinis are a style of swimwear that relatively few of us are aware of or consider buying. This is a shame because it is a very versatile option. You can wear the top anywhere. They look particularly good when worn with a pair of jeans or a casual skirt, and when you want to pack light for a short vacation. 
The fact that this style of swimwear is versatile is one of the reasons I like it and worth mentioning it here. If you want to avoid paying out for hold luggage you have to pack light.
